Crazy Home Tech Gadgets That You’ve Never Heard Of

The internet was first invented in 1960. Just over sixty years later, almost the entirety of our planet is connected to the World Wide Web. As an industrious and creative species, humans have been able to craft incredible inventions that fundamentally change life as we know it.

From Thomas Edison with the tin foil phonograph to Steve Jobs with the modern iPhone, there is seemingly nothing that we can’t create with the right minds focused on the task. In today’s conversation, however, we are going to be looking at inventions that might not make it into the history books!

Keep on reading to learn about 21 inventions that you just have to SEE to BELIEVE!

Zoomable Contact Lenses

The future is now and boy does it look amazing. The University of California is currently working on a set of contact lenses that allow the wearer to actually zoom in. Using eye-tracking technology, users can initiate the zoom effect by blinking twice, at least according to reports.

According to researchers, these biometric lenses can detect and respond to a multitude of signals.

Handheld UV Sanitizer Wand

In the age of the coronavirus, it has never been more important to practice proper sanitation and hygiene. The Handheld Ultraviolet Light Sanitizer known as Mobile Klean gives users the ability to take control of their own sanitization practices. Mobile Klean utilizes UV light to destroy germs, viral agents, and pathogens.

Mobile Klean is incredibly sturdy and ideal for sanitizing your car, office, and any other on-the-go location and it’s on sale.

Flyte Levitating Light Bulb

Flyte is a wireless floating light bulb affixed above a small block of wood. The bulb is held in the air by embedded magnets and it can provide long-lasting light with very little energy use. According to the manufacturers of the Flyte Levitating Light Bulb, users can enjoy this lamp for six hours per day for up to 22 years.

This Flyte light bulb looks like a shared project between Tesla and Edison, though we doubt they’d ever work together!

Cheap & Flexible WiFi Booster

For those of us that grew up with dial-up internet, today’s WiFi probably seems like a dream. With that being said, homeowners all over the country have trouble maintaining a decent WiFi signal within their homes. This is where the RangeXTD WiFi Booster comes into play.

The RangeXTD WiFi Booster extends your WiFi signal to every nook and cranny of your home, eliminating dead spots that might have otherwise prevented connection. Upgrade your WiFi without adding a monthly charge to your bill.

The Hourglass Traffic Light

While the automobile may be one of our finest inventions, we still haven’t perfected how to get everyone to drive like a sane person. Still, the Hourglass Traffic Light may go a long way toward limiting potential traffic collisions. This visual hourglass stoplight allows drivers to accurately understand how much time they have before the light turns, all at a glance and with little effort.

While the hourglass traffic light would likely need a slow introduction to streets around the country, we think it has real potential!

BarxBuddy Dog Behavior Modifier

One of the best ways to train your dog is by reinforcing good behaviors while diverting bad behaviors when they happen. The BarxBuddy is a simple device that generates a high pitched noise that only dogs can hear at the press of a button. BarxBuddy is a safe device that can be used to distract a barking dog while diverting their attention from whatever is distracting them.

BarxBuddy can be used as part of a comprehensive training routine to ensure that your pet’s bad behaviors are moderated while reinforcing positive behaviors. Check it out here.

3-Sided Modern Flip Phone

Say goodbye to your favorite iPhone and hello to one of the first 3-sided modern flip phones. This unique gadget is still in development, though it looks more realistic than ever. The phone can work in a variety of different modes with multiple screens and simultaneous multi-app utilization. The folding elements are really cool, too.

Wearable Neck Pain Relief

Your home office is probably not set up very ergonomically. Mine is a little short, I have to lean slightly to the left for the best view and I usually find myself hunched over. All of this leads to neck pain. About halfway through my work day, I put on Neck Relax. Neck Relax is a fantastic neck massager.

In technical terms, Neck Relax is effective by using infrared heat to increase circulation and direct oxygen/nutrients to tissues, using electro frequency stimulation massage therapy and using therapeutic ultrasound.

In action terms, Neck Relax soothes your muscles, stops spasms and nerve pain, and stimulates your tissue to encourage your body to begin healing.

It helped me, and I think it will help you too which is why I’m sharing it here. Now 50% off (and it will reduce your pain by over 50%).

Smart Jacket With Built-In Heater

For shoppers in a colder climate, nothing could sound more appealing than a smart jacket with a built-in heater! The Flexwarm Jacket was crafted with heating elements designed in the chest, wrist, and back areas. With these sensors, the wearer can dial in the heat output that they desire for optimal comfort. Now imagine watching a cold football game in the stands!

Wristband Snoring Sensor

Did you know that nearly 45% of adults snore occasionally while 25% snore regularly? While snoring isn’t fun for the person sleeping, it is even worse for their significant others. Enter the Sleep Connection Wristband Snoring Sensor.

Unlike a CPAP machine, the Sleep Connection wristband snoring sensor utilizes biosensors to track potential snoring. When snoring is detected, natural pulses of electricity are emitted, gently causing you to reposition and quit snoring.

Chemistry Spice Rack Set

While this invention is a little less crazy than the other options on our countdown, it is still pretty darn cool. This is a laboratory themed spice rack that uses Chemistry beakers and a unique metal stand. Test tubes and test tube holders add a sheen of aesthetic appeal for the science-loving chefs at home!

Angled Clipper For Ease Of Use

It’s hard to get a pedicure right now, but for some of us it’s even harder to cut our toenails ourselves. The angle is not natural anyway you try it – bringing your foot up toward your hand or your hand down toward your foot – both are equally hard. Thankfully the ClipperPro toenail clipper was invented to make doing your nails at home a lot easier. The head of the clippers swivels to make cutting your nails effortless.

Solar Powered Phone Charger

Solar energy is all the rage and we don’t expect that to change any time soon. This unique portable solar power phone charger provides instant battery power as long as you have access to light. The adhesives allow you to stick your solar-powered battery wherever it needs to go for maximum light exposure.

Leave one of these bad boys in your car for emergencies and you’ll never be without power on the road, again!

Phone-Attached Military-Grade Telescope

There is always something cool to see when we are hiking in nature, so it makes sense to keep a good telescope nearby. Fortunately for us, the Starscope Monocular is a handheld phone attachment that provides military-grade optics. Attach to your smartphone and utilize the included stabilizing tripod to get the views you need. They are currently running a special.

While StarScope technology has us interested, we think this next invention will provide even more excitement!

Holographic Keyless Keyboard

Do you dream of putting your old keyboard to rest forever? Do you want more desk space when you are at your computer? With the Holographic Keyless Keyboard, it has never been easier to enjoy ergonomic, holographic QWERTY keyboard access. This wireless keyboard works with most modern computers and mobile devices.

Health Tracking Mirrors

If you loved Minority Report for the technology in the film, you are going to love these health tracking mirrors. This project is a joint research objective shared between prestigious members of both Harvard and MIT. The goal of the mirror is to detect variations within our body through sensors, scanning and analyzing this information to provide potential early diagnosis for possible health issues.

If this health tracking mirror ever gets greenlit and put to market, it could change the world of healthcare as we know it.

All-In-One Water and Air Purifier

What could be more important than clean air and water? The Portable Ozone Generator was developed by WSTA to provide not only purified air, but also purified water through a central reservoir. The ozone generator also destroys any potential allergens in the air. This tool is ideal for detoxing fruits and veggies, killing viral agents, and reducing chemical contaminants.

Bell Nexus: VTOL Air Taxi

Want a lift? The Bell Nexus VTOL air Taxi is on its way! This machine looks like it was yanked straight from the pages of your favorite SciFi novel. The air taxi was initially debuted at CES 2019 where designers focused on the hybrid-electric propulsion as well as its gas-turbine-engine. The VTOL Air Taxi is still a few years away from public deployment, though we think it could be a real solution for city congestion!

Wireless Earpiece Translators

Ready to travel around the world but worried about understanding other languages? Don’t worry, these tiny headphones can help you make your dreams a reality. These pilot wireless headphones feature a translation device based upon the language chosen in the initial settings. With no need for an internet connection, these headphone translators are giving travelers freedom at a level that they’ve never really had.

Dripless Coffee Mug

Not all tech inventions have to be revolutionary. One of the most frequent complaints we have in the morning is our coffee dripping onto our desk. With a dripless coffee mug, it’s easier than ever to enjoy that java without any potential mess. The dripless coffee mug was designed by Kim Keun Ae and has been a favorite around offices ever since.

Not every invention has to be a world-changing event, but that doesn’t mean we appreciate the little inventions any less. With so many opportunities in the world around us for innovation through technology, what do you think will come next?
